I just came back in from the yard. I'm covered in mosquito bites. Totally covered. I think I need to think about chemical warfare in the back yard. On the up side the sprinkler system I've been dreading testing all year appears to work just fine. There are a bunch of missing heads, which means digging and the like to fix them...but there is only one place where I suspect the line is totally trashed. This is fantastic news as we're having landscapers do the front yard very shortly here. The down side is I have to fix the heads in a hurry, so the system is ready for the new plants. It does appear that some number of the heads are actually outside my back fence... which was set where I believed the property line to be. Not far outside mind you but outside none the less. Stay tuned for the further sagas of sprinkler head madness.
notes from the frontier of boredom
the semi-lucid ramblings of a person on the frontier of boredom without anything to do, and without any meaningful direcion. I love my job. Since I started working here I figured I'd spend the next 30 years doing the same thing. My free time is eaten up. I still don't really have much of a life, but I'm busy and it looks like fun.
