Well, trick or treating is over, and has been for about 4 hours. This year we had quite a few trick-or-treaters. Sixty-three if I remember correctly. I'll check my tally sheet some time when I'm not chocked in place by sleeping dogs. That's a pretty good number all things considred. We do have a fair amount of left over candy, but not HUGE amounts.
notes from the frontier of boredom
the semi-lucid ramblings of a person on the frontier of boredom without anything to do, and without any meaningful direcion. I love my job. Since I started working here I figured I'd spend the next 30 years doing the same thing. My free time is eaten up. I still don't really have much of a life, but I'm busy and it looks like fun.

I told a lie today. I don't normally lie. The fact is that I lie so infrequently it's noteworthy here I guess. It wasn't a big lie. It won't have any long term effect in the universe. I still feel like a worthless scrub. What scares me was how easily it came to my lips.
I'm knitting another sweater. For Mom again. This one is red and white, it's a simple raglan cardigan. I'm using the The Incredible, Custom-fit Raglan Sweater pattern available here: http://www.woolworks.org/patterns/raglan.html I've put a stripe of little holes across it (YO k2tog), I might add another one too. Maybe two. Just enough variety to keep it interesting, since otherwise it would be a totally plain sweater. I think it will end up looking nice with jeans or something.
