Secret Santa

Secret Santa It's that time again... Time for the thinkblank secret santa. I think I've been doing this since 2001. I like it. I was made angry last year by a woman who posted a big bitchy thing to her blog about how I didn't write her a thankyou note as fast as she thought I should. Didn't really take the fun out of it entirely though.

More knititng stuff...

Last night we ran out to Amazing Threads the hand knitting shop near my house. We got some yarn (which we always do at the yarn store but best of all.. the nice lady at the counter who checked us out agreed with me about purling being no fun.. so she taught me to knit backwards. Free knitting lesson for me!

Also last night I got my sock knitting machine working again. So now it's just my own inaptitude that keeps me from being able to make socks. Well that and a missing part.

I went to the post office today, to check the Supercon PO Box and buy some stamps. While I was there I helped some clearly confused guy buy stamps from the machine. I can't tell if it was out of the desire to be helpful or just to get him out of my way. Either way he got his stamps I got mine, and $15 in dollar coins. Nothing like a pocket full of jingling dollars to make your day good.

Also Plate-o-Meat for lunch. Which was as usuall fantastic.

Last night I saw my brother. He was in town for an interview. I can hope he gets the job. Then he and my folks will move up here. (they're retired and want to be near the grandkids) That'd be swell. I'd like a chance to see my family more than three times a year.

Some people have complained that my page has been breaking their browsers. I've taken out some things that may be breaking it. So if you've complained and it's not better let me know.

Wow.. I've hit most of Europe. I guess I sort of knew that intelectually but seeing it like this is different. I can't remember if I've been to Mexico or not though. I don't think so. I have the neatest parents ever, since most of these places I saw before I was 15.
