OUCH!

Ok, that was more painful than actually cutting my finger. Tonight was my first time shooting since the table saw encounter. I tried shooting with my cut finger, that was bad. Then I tried shooting with my middle finger and my cut finger kept smacking the side of the gun. the first round was terrible. I hit 10 I think.

Then Deanna went to shoot and we discovered the forend had split on the 20ga, so she shot my 12ga. This got me a bye, as we were both supposed to shoot that round. So while I was waiting I was thinking about my finger and how to make round 2 less horrible. I thought "if only I had a splint or a bumper or something hard to protect it." Then I realized there were more surplus 12ga hulls than I could shake a stick at. My index finger fits in one. So with a bandaid over the cut I had a plan.

I still didn't shoot that well... 13. But at least it wasn't painfull anymore.

Deanna got a bruise she thinks from the 12ga. And I've got the forend glued and clamped, so I expect all will be back to normal next week.
